The former Spice Girl, 35, made the revelation to her show co-stars and judges during a commercial break - and brandished a huge diamond ring to the cameras and viewers at home when the show returned.
Posting on her Twitter during the break, as well as putting up a picture of herself sporting her rock, she wrote: 'Yahooooo I'm Engaged! Love you Jade! I'm a very happy lady!!'

Ice, ice baby: Former Baby Spice showed off her massive diamond engagement ring live on the showJade proposed to the star on Friday night as they celebrated her 35th birthday.
Afterwards, Emma Tweeted: 'I had the best birthday ever!'
Emma has been with the former Damage boyband-star-turned-chef, 31, for 11 years.
The former Spice Girl and judge on the show announced in November that she was pregnant with their second child.
They are expecting a sibling next spring for their three-year-old son Beau.
Dancing On Ice host Phillip Schofield made the announcement live on the show, saying: 'Breaking news! Emma has just announced her engagement! Just during the break then.'
Co-host Holly Willoughby - who is also pregnant with her second child chipped in: 'You've got a baby on the way and now a fiancée!'
An absolutely beaming Emma then replied - as she was almost drowned out by the cheers and applause from the audience: 'I know! I'm a very very happy lady. It's amazing! Thanks you so much.'
The star was wearing a beautiful black lace maternity 'Flutter' dress from Tiffany Rose, which retails for £139.

Bunton and Jones live together in Hertfordshire and only last year, the former Spice Girl had insisted that they were in no rush to wed.
She told the Mail: 'It's not on the agenda; we don't even talk about it. We've been together for ten years and we're so close - we share the childcare rather than have a nanny so we're often together 24/7.
'I can honestly say that we're really happy, so we don't feel the need to formalise it.'
Just a few months after giving birth to Beau, Bunton went on tour with the Spice Girls, even bringing the tot on stage during one of their New York concerts.
