Stealing the show: Julia Roberts' bare legs are the main attraction as she and Javier Bardem attend the premiere of Eat Pray Love in New York
She claimed to have gained 10lbs while filming Eat, Pray, Love in Italy, but there was no sign of any extra weight as Julie Roberts arrived at the film's premiere in New York tonight.
The star was every inch the Pretty Woman in a fitted black shorts suit, and certainly has the legs to pull off the 'short shorts' look.
Roberts, 42, paired her outfit with a pair of cut-out black heels and wore her glossy auburn hair gently curled.
She certainly stole the show from her co-star Javier Bardem, who plays her love interest.
Of her weight gain during filming, the actress told Entertainment Weekly: 'Like in the scene with the pizza, by the time the scene is over, I’ve eaten the entire piece.
'When we were in Naples, we started shooting at eight in the morning, and I think by 8:45 I’d eaten eight or ten pieces of pizza. Pizza was what I ate all day that day.'
She added: 'By the time we left Rome I was seven to ten pounds heavier.'
So chic: Julia Roberts paired her short shorts with a demure suit jacket
In the movie, based on the best-selling book of the same name by Elizabeth Gilbert, Roberts plays a recently-divorced woman travelling the world trying to find herself.
The character visits Italy for food, India for spirituality and Bali, where she finds love.
Roberts has three children with cameraman Danny Moder, Henry, 3 and 5-year-old twins Phinnaeus and Hazel.
The star of Pretty Woman, Notting Hill and Runaway Bride put the brakes on her hugely successful Hollywood career to look after her children.
But she took on her first full time lead role in years for Eat Pray Love.
